Senior Design Engineer (Magnetics)

Location: On-site in Yankton, South Dakota, United States. Applicants must qualify as U.S. Persons due to ITAR and/or EAR product restrictions.

What you will do

• Design custom transformers, inductors, and coils for customer applications.
• Apply materials, equipment, and production-process expertise to meet reliability, performance, cost, and other product requirements.
• Perform complex and independent engineering work requiring sound technical judgment.
• Direct technicians and production personnel during sample builds, qualification builds, and material and process evaluations.
• Maintain competitive product knowledge and share relevant technical information across the division.
• Travel to customers, manufacturing locations, material suppliers, and equipment suppliers as needed.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive design engineering experience in magnetics and/or switch-mode power supply design.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under 22 C.F.R. §120.15.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, thermal, and safety agency requirements for custom magnetics.
