What you will do
- Support acquisition planning, business strategy development, and procurement package reviews.
- Research applicable acquisition laws, regulations, and policies and provide contracting recommendations.
- Prepare acquisition plans, source selection plans, determinations and findings, independent government cost estimates, justifications and approvals, and related documentation.
- Prepare solicitations, amendments, awards, contract modifications, and post-award documentation using government contract writing systems.
- Conduct cost and price analyses, support proposal evaluations and negotiations, and prepare negotiation documentation.
- Administer contracts, maintain audit-ready contract files, and collaborate with contracting officers, program managers, legal counsel, DCAA, DCMA, industry partners, and integrated product teams.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required.
- At least 10 years of experience supporting federal or Department of Defense acquisition and contracting programs, including at least 5 years with DoD acquisition organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, acquisition, contract management, finance, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- DAWIA Practitioner or Advanced certification, FAC-C certification, or the ability to obtain the required certification if contractually permitted.
- Extensive experience across pre-award, award, post-award, and contract administration activities, including FFP, cost reimbursement, and IDIQ contracts.
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, SOFARS, DoD acquisition policies, source selection, negotiation, cost and price analysis, contract modifications, and audit-ready contract file management.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting USSOCOM, Special Operations Forces, major defense acquisition, RDT&E, production, weapon system, software, digital, maritime, or aviation acquisition programs.
- Experience with OTA agreements, BAAs, CSOs, SBIR/STTR programs, rapid acquisition initiatives, or classified acquisition programs.
- Former warranted contracting officer or supervisory contract specialist experience.
- Experience working with multiple appropriations, DCAA, or DCMA.
