Agricultural Economics & Economics Non-Tenure Track Visiting Instructor (Applicant Pool)

Salary: $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Teach a 3-3 course load during the 2026–27 academic year.
• Teach intermediate microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, and intermediate macroeconomics.
• Advise, evaluate, and assist students.
• Participate in weekly faculty meetings.
• Collaborate regularly with and evaluate an assigned peer leader.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or ABD status in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Current expertise and substantial knowledge in the relevant field.
• Professional and effective collaboration with a wide range of individuals.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• This position is not eligible for new sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching economics.
• Ability to contribute intellectual uniqueness to the department.

Culture & Benefits

• Non-tenure-track appointment for the 2026–27 academic year, covering fall and spring semesters.
• 0.6 FTE appointment with benefits eligibility.
• Faculty position represented by the Associated Faculty of hirify.global because the appointment is at least 0.5 FTE; membership dues may apply as a condition of employment.
