Maintenance Technician

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite building coverage required

What you will do

• Maintain building grounds, public areas, parking lots, roofs, mechanical rooms, and utility rooms.
• Perform routine, preventive, seasonal, and general maintenance, including debris removal, pressure-washing, lamp replacement, and repairs.
• Create work orders for observed deficiencies and complete assigned maintenance work orders.
• Respond to tenant requests and provide concierge-level service to building occupants.
• Assist with vendor coordination and support onsite maintenance and management teams.
• Monitor safety conditions, including slip and trip hazards, locked doors, and restricted access points.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and the ability to perform general handyman repairs.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
• Clear driving record and basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., work from a ladder and overhead, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to smell smoke and other chemicals as required for the role.
• Employment eligibility in the United States must be verified.

Nice to have

• Vocational or technical degree.
• Electrical, plumbing, or HVAC experience.
