Location: Remote within the United States; travel required approximately 10% for critical meetings.
Estimated base salary: $77,100–$110,000 USD annually.

What you will do
- Plan and develop new long-haul routes, greenfield builds, route overbuilds, and network extensions.
- Define route requirements, develop solution scenarios, maintain plans of record, and support project approval decisions.
- Complete feasibility planning and develop project scopes, budgets, milestone schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Research existing infrastructure and identify third-party build, asset acquisition, and joint-build opportunities.
- Develop and evaluate RFIs, construction RFPs, vendor strategies, contract approaches, and business terms.
- Coordinate permitting, rights-of-way agreements, long-lead materials, vendor bidding, and project development reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in wireline carrier network planning, engineering, and construction.
- At least 5 years managing large-scale OSP, Ethernet, wireless, or other network deployments.
- At least 5 years of experience with OSP construction contract bidding, negotiation, administration, and construction management.
- Working knowledge of OSP construction standards, fiber specifications, optical network design, fiber testing, and acceptance practices.
- Expert-level knowledge of GIS-based tools such as MapInfo, ArcView, or Google Earth is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with long-haul construction, joint-build agreements, complex permitting, and NTIA-related requirements.
- Experience with Sitetracker, Salesforce, or similar project management and business systems.
- Strong knowledge of the current US carrier network landscape.
