Systems Engineer - Maritime S&T;/R&D; (Top Secret Clearance Required) (Maritime Systems): Supporting SOF maritime science and technology, research and development, acquisition programs, communications, networks, and system architectures with an accent on technology evaluation, roadmaps, portfolio oversight, and transition planning. Focus on evaluating emerging maritime technologies, developing technical recommendations, managing engineering risks, and coordinating design, development, testing, production, and operational transition activities.
Location: On-site at MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida; travel up to 25%

What you will do
- Provide systems engineering and technical support for SOF maritime science and technology and research and development programs.
- Plan, manage, and oversee S&T/R&D projects, technology portfolios, investment priorities, roadmaps, and transition plans.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, technical concepts, engineering programs, development plans, and proposed solutions against SOF maritime mission requirements.
- Support maritime communications equipment, networks, system architectures, and engineering activities across design, development, testing, production, and technology transition.
- Prepare technical assessments, recommendations, executive briefings, status reports, engineering documentation, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate technical working groups and multidisciplinary activities across Government organizations, contractors, industry partners, research organizations, and operational stakeholders.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility are required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant systems engineering, technical, acquisition, S&T, or R&D experience.
- Advanced DAWIA equivalency in Engineering & Technical Management, Program Management, or Test & Evaluation, or the ability to obtain it within six months with an approved customer deferral.
- Experience with DoD acquisition programs, SOF acquisition S&T/R&D processes, maritime systems, and maritime communications equipment, networks, or architectures.
- Experience developing technology plans and roadmaps, evaluating emerging technologies, managing technical risks, and supporting S&T/R&D working groups.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting SOF AT&L, USSOCOM acquisition organizations, or Naval Special Warfare.
- Knowledge of SOF-specific acquisition processes.
- Experience transitioning S&T or R&D technologies into acquisition programs or operational use.
