Damage Prevention Technician II

Location: Denver/Englewood, Colorado area; field-based. Ideal candidates reside within 30 minutes of the Greenwood Village metro area.

Salary: $19.52–$30.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Analyze blueprints and identify construction project locations.
• Locate, map, and mark underground fiber optic cables and utilities, including their depth.
• Use electrical, magnetic, GPS, surveying, and radar techniques to measure and pinpoint utility coordinates.
• Document site information, interactions, photographs, and utility data in digital platforms.
• Identify potential problem areas, inspect outdoor network facilities, and maintain tools, test sets, and equipment.
• Communicate with clients, engineers, management, and vendors while monitoring contractor performance.

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant field construction experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous utility locating and fiber optic cable build experience.
• Ability to use computers, mobile phones, test equipment, Microsoft Windows, and Office applications.
• Availability for rotating 24/7/365 on-call coverage, including standby, call-outs, dispatch, overtime, and some travel.
• Valid state-issued driver license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle; ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather and environments.
