Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; candidates across the United States considered. Onsite preferred for candidates in the Pittsburgh area.

What you will do

• Design electrical parts for robots and implement circuits at the PCB level.
• Collaborate with suppliers and ODM partners throughout development and production.
• Review existing designs and recommend technical improvements.
• Manage prototype manufacturing, testing, design refinements, and manufacturing liaison activities.
• Verify, validate, and test electronic circuit boards and PCB subassemblies.

Requirements

• BSEE or BSCE degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with electrical or hardware design, schematic capture, and mixed-signal board development.
• Ability to generate multi-layer PCBs ranging from 2 to 8 layers.
• Experience specifying and selecting components, preparing BOMs, and creating fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and electronic debugging techniques.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining PCB project files and generating production output files.
• Experience linking Altium Designer to vendor databases and managing Altium Designer libraries.
