Program Director / Licensed Adult Day Program Operations

Location: Rohnert Park, California, USA. Full-time, hands-on role requiring physical presence on the program floor and flexibility to meet program, individual, and staff needs.

Salary: $80,000–$89,169.70 per year.

What you will do

• Lead daily operations, staffing, scheduling, payroll, budgeting, expenses, and service delivery.
• Provide visible, hands-on leadership on the floor and support staff during high-behavior situations, including aggression, self-injury, elopement, and property destruction.
• Train, coach, develop, and hold staff accountable to performance expectations.
• Develop workshop-style activities that promote independence and life skills, and implement person-centered service plans and behavior support strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Title 17, Title 22, Community Care Licensing standards, internal policies, audits, and quality assurance requirements.
• Partner with Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, families, residential providers, and other community partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a human services delivery system and at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience with direct staff oversight.
• At least 2 years of experience or training caring for and supervising people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an adult day program or residential facility.
• Experience with behavioral intervention, trauma-informed care, person-centered planning, ISP/IPP development, and behavior support plans.
• Working knowledge of Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, Title 17, Title 22, compliance, audits, and regulatory expectations.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds, digital literacy, Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience leading licensed Adult Day Programs, high-behavior settings, crisis homes, Level 4 homes, or EBHS facilities.
• Experience managing teams of 10 or more employees.
• Strong background in staff coaching, performance management, accountability, and crisis-based program leadership.
