Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado; 2–3 days per week on-site at Intermountain Health, Saint Joseph Hospital, with the remaining work completed from a home office.

Salary: From USD 57,784 per year, plus an incentive bonus tied to enrollment performance.

What you will do

  • Identify and approach eligible patients and families through hospital referrals and daily census reviews.
  • Explain the HIPP program compassionately, answer questions, and work through hesitation without pressuring patients.
  • Collect authorizations, employer and insurance information, premium details, and dependent data.
  • Own patient cases from first contact through enrollment, resolving missing documents, eligibility questions, and employer follow-up issues.
  • Verify ongoing eligibility, coordinate employer coverage with Medicaid, and help resolve insurance issues.
  • Maintain CRM records, securely transmit documentation, follow HIPAA standards, and build relationships with hospital staff and community partners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
  • At least two years of patient-facing or customer-facing experience with activity or outcome metrics.
  • Ability to work independently on-site with limited daily supervision and manage outreach targets.
  • Working proficiency with a CRM or case management system, iPad, and iPhone.
  • Ability to pass hospital credentialing, including required vaccinations and drug/alcohol screening.

Nice to have

  • Three to five years of experience in a hospital or health system.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, employer-sponsored coverage, and coordination of benefits.
  • HIPP, premium assistance, eligibility, enrollment, patient access, financial counseling, or member services experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Training in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, medical billing and coding, or experience interpreting EOBs and medical bills.
