Lead EMC Compliance Engineer

What you will do

• Maintain detailed knowledge of EMC standards and requirements for automation, communication, monitoring, and protection equipment used in industrial and public utility environments.
• Develop EMC compliance tests, procedures, and reports in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
• Build and maintain knowledge of products and target markets.
• Provide technical and design assistance to product development teams.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in EMC testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience with EMC compliance test methods and practices at an electronics development and manufacturing company.
• Knowledge of EMC design mitigation methods and best practices for industrial and public utility equipment.
• Hands-on experience with common EMC testing equipment and standards including IEC/EN/KN 61000 series, IEC/EN/KN 60255-26, IEEE C37.90, FCC Part 15B, and CISPR standards.
• Strong writing, documentation, public speaking, teamwork, and self-management skills.
