TL;DR
Senior Telecom Engineer-Mission Critical (Telecommunications/Data Centers): Designing and integrating resilient telecommunications systems for data centers and other mission-critical facilities with an accent on structured fiber and copper cabling, network infrastructure, wireless communications, and security systems. Focus on developing redundancy and disaster recovery strategies, coordinating deployment and commissioning, and analyzing network performance and capacity.
Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; travel to nationwide project sites is required

What you will do
- Design scalable and redundant structured cabling systems using fiber optic and copper infrastructure.
- Specify and implement routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and other network infrastructure.
- Integrate DAS, VoIP, wireless communications, and security systems in mission-critical facilities.
- Oversee installation, deployment, commissioning, and testing with vendors and contractors.
- Coordinate telecom system integration with electrical, mechanical, and IT teams.
- Develop redundancy and disaster recovery strategies while performing network performance, cybersecurity, and capacity analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of telecommunications engineering experience, including at least 5 years in mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of TIA-942, ANSI/TIA-568, BICSI, fiber optic networks, and low-voltage systems.
- Experience with data center network design, VoIP, DAS, wireless communications, VLANs, IP addressing, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and related telecom infrastructure standards.
- Willingness to travel to project sites for design coordination, testing, and commissioning.
