Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture & ERP Applications (SAP)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; Princeton, New Jersey; or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role combines work from home with on-site presence at client or hirify.global offices for the majority of the week. Client-facing travel is required as business needs dictate.

Salary: $275,000–$331,000 annually, plus potential cost-of-living adjustment, bonuses, and relocation support.

What you will do

• Define the enterprise architecture vision and systems strategy across ERP, Finance, HR, Marketing Communications, CRM, Legal, data management, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Establish architectural principles, platform-selection frameworks, integration patterns, and lifecycle-management practices.
• Lead multi-year ERP modernization, upgrade, consolidation, and integration initiatives while protecting production stability and business continuity.
• Rationalize the enterprise application portfolio by reducing redundancy, legacy sprawl, and technical debt.
• Guide senior stakeholders through complex architectural decisions and provide executive-ready recommendations.
• Build and lead a small enterprise architecture and ERP leadership team while partnering with PMO, engineering, data, security, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise technology, architecture, or large-scale business systems.
• Demonstrated leadership of multiple large-scale, ERP-centric enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Experience operating across complex, multi-function organizations including Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal, and Operations.
• Deep understanding of ERP platforms and enterprise ecosystems; familiarity with SAP and Microsoft enterprise platforms.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, integration patterns, data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without now or future employer sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with major consulting firms, Big Four organizations, or global system integrators.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, data platforms, AI, and emerging technologies.
• Professional services or similarly matrixed organization experience.
• Knowledge of the EU AI Act, GDPR, data sovereignty, and other multi-jurisdictional compliance frameworks.
