What you will do
- Oversee global transportation activities, including sourcing, carrier selection, rate negotiations, freight audit and payment, cost controls, and supplier relationship management.
- Provide logistics expertise to business units and serve as a liaison between business-unit stakeholders and logistics leadership.
- Develop and deploy transportation KPIs, metrics, standard operating procedures, and service-level agreements.
- Assess logistics networks and transportation rates to optimize execution and costs while generating year-over-year savings.
- Lead RFP/RFQ initiatives, negotiate domestic and international freight contracts, and conduct quarterly business reviews or annual supplier reviews.
- Identify transportation trends, resolve complex logistics issues, and drive continuous improvement with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics strategic sourcing for a large company with domestic and international operations.
- At least 3 years of experience leading or mentoring teams or leading large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of transportation operations, freight tariffs and surcharges, pricing, regulations, contracts, carrier operations, and logistics costs.
- Demonstrated negotiation, carrier selection, process improvement, analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and multiple business applications.

- Experience with tariff and rating methodologies across US and global regions.
- Experience leading and influencing multiple individuals and groups.
- Experience with multiple global transportation modes and freight contracts.
- Experience in logistics analysis.
