PPL Quality Operations Spec (Welding/NDE)

Location: Home-based in Everett, Washington, with long-term on-site work in Nevada required while the project is ongoing.

Salary: USD 134,000–168,300 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and implement quality activities covering assessments, surveillance, non-conformances, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continual improvement.
• Support project and fabrication quality programs, audits, certifications, training, and management-system deliverables.
• Coordinate welding, QA/QC engineering, inspection, testing, NDE activities, and project quality resources.
• Maintain project records, welder and NDE qualification records, certifications, and final documentation.
• Report quality KPIs and prepare weekly and monthly quality reports for operational and functional management.
• Advise project teams on QA/QC matters and supervise welding or inspection personnel when assigned.

Requirements

• 15+ years of company or industry experience, including 10–15 years in the relevant discipline.
• Engineering degree, typically in welding engineering, preferred.
• Expertise in welding and NDE methods, quality-management documentation, project requirements, and compliance.
• Knowledge of applicable ASME, ASTM, API, AWWA, AWS, and ASNT SNT-TC-1A codes and requirements.
• Knowledge of NDE Level II methods including VT, MT, PT, SFT, UT, and RT; ability to conduct written and practical NDE examinations.
• Experience with CWI, paint inspection, hydro-test safety, qualification records, and annual eye-test administration.
