OSP Program Manager - Long Haul Deployment

Location: Remote within the United States; travel required as needed for project execution, contractor oversight, and customer engagements.

Estimated base salary: $77,100–$118,600 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead multiple long haul OSP fiber deployment projects from planning and engineering through permitting, construction, testing, acceptance, and closeout.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, performance tracking, and recovery plans.
• Manage turnkey engineering and construction contractors, including contract administration, invoicing, change orders, milestones, safety, quality, and corrective actions.
• Oversee route design validation, permitting, environmental requirements, regulatory compliance, material coordination, inventory, and field deployment.
• Provide project, program, financial, risk, and executive reporting while coordinating customers, contractors, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee fiber testing, acceptance, as-built documentation, network diagrams, inventory updates, and complete project closeout packages.

Requirements

• At least eight years of telecommunications, fiber deployment, or OSP project management experience.
• At least eight years managing complex outside plant construction projects and contractor relationships.
• Experience delivering multimillion-dollar fiber deployment projects on schedule and within budget.
• Experience administering engineering, construction, and turnkey EPC contracts, as well as federal and state permitting, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Strong knowledge of OSP construction methods, fiber optic infrastructure, long haul network architecture, fiber testing, and closeout procedures.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, route maps, construction packages, and testing documentation; familiarity with GIS, Google Earth, network inventory systems, Salesforce, Sitetracker, and project management systems.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, telecommunications, business, or a related field.
