TL;DR
IT Risk Senior Consultant (Cybersecurity): Leading federal IT risk and advisory engagements covering governance, internal controls, cybersecurity governance, financial systems, and regulatory compliance with an accent on executive advisory, control assessments, and remediation. Focus on designing and maturing control environments, supporting FISMA and OMB A-123 evaluations, leading multidisciplinary teams, and growing federal client accounts.
Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area; onsite at client locations. Work location may change based on client requirements. Up to 25% travel.
Salary: $103,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do
- Lead complex federal IT risk and advisory engagements from opportunity development through delivery.
- Advise federal executives and technology stakeholders on IT governance, technology risk, internal controls, cybersecurity governance, financial systems, and compliance.
- Oversee ITGC, application control, internal audit, OMB A-123, and related compliance assessments.
- Develop remediation strategies, POA&Ms, and long-term control improvements across enterprise applications, ERP systems, cloud platforms, and business systems.
- Support financial system modernization, ERP implementations, cloud migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, executive briefings, client workshops, quality reviews, account growth, proposals, and business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, accounting, business, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT risk consulting, technology advisory, internal IT audit, IT compliance, financial systems, cybersecurity governance, or related services.
- Experience leading complex client engagements and multidisciplinary teams while managing senior executive relationships.
- Strong knowledge of ITGCs, application controls, technology risk management, FISCAM, FISMA, and applicable control frameworks.
- Professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, or equivalent.
- Must be able to work onsite at client locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with federal client account growth, OMB A-123 IT evaluations, financial management, financial systems modernization, or ERP transformation.
- Experience with Oracle, Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Federal Financials, or cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, OCI, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, Diligent HighBond, Archer, or AuditBoard.
- Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, or related federal compliance initiatives.
- Federal agency relationships, thought leadership, industry presentations, or professional event representation.
