Customer Service Representative - Collections (Banking)

Location: Hybrid/flexible, primarily remote from home, with in-person attendance as needed; must live within a 3-hour radius of hirify.global locations in Kansas City or St. Louis, Missouri.

Salary: $18.00–$20.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Collect on low-risk accounts to help reduce delinquency and gross losses.
• Support customers in understanding their financial obligations and reasons for delinquency.
• Negotiate repayment options and provide applicable solutions.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls for current and past-due accounts.
• Document customer interactions and maintain accurate account records.
• Maintain required quality and productivity standards while working independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Excellent customer service, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems independently.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Collections experience.
• Familiarity with collection management software such as TSYS, SHAW, or DM9.
• Experience in an inbound, outbound, or blended dialing environment.
