Hardware Engineering Technician - Controllers and Computing Systems

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite at the SEL corporate office

Salary: $32.88–$48.60 per hour

What you will do

• Perform electronic hardware tests according to engineering procedures under the direction of engineers or experienced technicians.
• Build prototypes, document construction, and maintain engineering records.
• Test prototype units and boards, troubleshoot equipment systems, and support system-level compliance scans.
• Assist with evaluating electronic components and assemble test fixtures, load banks, and other product-development equipment.
• Process modest-complexity Engineering Change Orders and provide support to engineering staff.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree in electronic technology or a related field.
• Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
• Familiarity with modern test equipment, PLCs, and setting up or building computers.
• Strong writing, documentation, speaking, learning, and teamwork skills.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with C and assembly languages.
• Experience with operating systems and computer equipment.
• Practical knowledge of three-phase power systems.
