Focus on leading complex takeoffs, proposing design-build alternatives, resolving material questions with contractors and engineers, and mentoring estimating personnel.

What you will do
- Lead accurate quantity takeoffs for complex and large-scale critical infrastructure projects.
- Interpret plans, specifications, notes, and engineering drawings.
- Identify specialty materials and evaluate options against project specifications.
- Support design-build efforts by proposing alternatives that improve cost and lead times.
- Develop bid strategies with sales and lead pre-takeoff and post-takeoff meetings.
- Review estimator work, provide technical guidance, and coach Estimators I and II.
Requirements
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction or critical infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience performing complex quantity takeoffs.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Experience with value engineering or design-build efforts.
- Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
