Adjunct Faculty - Anthropology

Location: Stephenville, Texas, United States; teaching may be delivered online, in person, or through approved instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver anthropology lectures, seminars, and laboratory offerings for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop syllabi, select instructional materials, and create exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and use learning outcomes to improve instruction.
• Engage students through active learning, discussion, collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on activities.
• Provide office hours, academic guidance, feedback, and mentoring to students.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, accreditation requirements, and Campus Security Authority responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Anthropology or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of anthropology sufficient for undergraduate and graduate-level instruction.
• Ability to collaborate professionally with students, staff, and faculty.
• Employment may be affected if immigration sponsorship is required; the university will not pay the $100,000 H-1B fee.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Anthropology or a closely related field.
• Previous collegiate online teaching experience.
