Procurement Specialist (Energy Transition)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; China-based integrated project teams work from Tianjin, China during engineering and procurement execution and construction/commissioning planning.

hirify.global provides project management services for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of the Lobito Refinery Project in Angola.

What you will do

• Oversee procurement activities performed by the EPC contractor.
• Verify compliance with EPC contract procurement requirements, approved-vendor rules, guarantees, warranties, logistics, quality assurance, reporting, and records requirements.
• Review procurement status reports and forecast dates for purchase orders.
• Validate material and equipment delivery schedules against project requirements and identify schedule gaps.
• Monitor material control systems from purchase order through field receipt and storage.
• Coordinate and conduct inspections, review Inspection and Test Plans, and witness performance testing of critical equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7 or more years of directly related progressive experience.
• 15 or more years of directly related experience may substitute for formal education.
• Fluency in Chinese and English is required.
• Ability to interface with the hirify.global home office in Houston and worldwide hirify.global resource centers.
