Financial Consulting Manager - Finance as a Service

Salary: $95,400–$192,000 per year, plus discretionary performance bonus

What you will do

• Serve as the primary client contact for private equity-backed and growth-oriented companies in technology and life sciences.
• Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Lead outsourced finance and accounting engagements, including domestic and offshore teams.
• Design and implement scalable accounting processes, ERP implementations, automation, reporting enhancements, and other finance transformation initiatives.
• Support transactions, integrations, acquisitions, carve-outs, and post-close improvements for private equity portfolio companies.
• Coordinate with executives, investors, lenders, auditors, tax advisors, and transaction teams while mentoring staff and supporting business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or advisory experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, consulting, or corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, monthly close processes, and account reconciliations.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements, leading teams, and coordinating geographically dispersed resources.
• Strong project management, communication, client relationship, analytical, and executive stakeholder skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environments.

Nice to have

• CPA designation and experience with private equity-backed portfolio companies.
• Experience in technology, SaaS, software, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences organizations.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs, revenue recognition, debt arrangements, budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, or cash flow management.
• Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or similar ERP and accounting platforms.
• Experience leading system implementation, automation, or finance transformation projects.
