Field Service Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technician I/II/III

Location: Melbourne, Australia; field travel of up to 75% required.

What you will do

• Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot SEL products to the component level.
• Maintain knowledge of SEL products and processes to support product quality and integrity.
• Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel.
• Partner with other divisions to address customer needs.
• Work in an electronics laboratory and support field-service activities.

Requirements

• Two-year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Ability to work in an electronics lab and solve complex problems collaboratively.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to sit and stand for at least 8 hours, use computer keyboard devices, and differentiate colors.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience in electronic design, manufacturing, or testing.
• Working knowledge of structured programming.
• Process improvement experience.
