Tennessee Title Underwriter (Real Estate Title Insurance)

What you will do

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Underwrite title insurance issuance within delegated authority limits and established standards.
• Guide company personnel, agents, and customers in real estate settlement services.
• Issue underwriting standards and guidelines in line with company processes.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of title underwriting experience, including Tennessee title underwriting experience.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with real estate law and federal and state regulations related to title insurance and settlement services.
• Understanding of real estate title, settlement processes, and underwriting transactions for title insurance policies.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to collaborate, act decisively, think abstractly, and develop creative solutions.
