What you will do

  • Lead hirify.global’s Canada operations and represent the Canada business with clients, partners, industry organizations, and government stakeholders.
  • Execute the Canada growth strategy, lead business development and pursuit activities, and manage strategic accounts.
  • Provide operational leadership for Canada projects, ensuring safe, profitable, high-quality, and successful execution.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing local organization while fostering collaboration with Americas and global delivery centers.
  • Develop operating plans, budgets, resource forecasts, and growth plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, commercial, and engineering requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, project management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 20 years of progressive experience in project management, engineering, construction, operations, or related industries.
  • At least 8 years in senior leadership, executive management, or general management roles.
  • Experience leading large-scale, complex engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational programs or projects.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and business management expertise, including P&L accountability, contract administration, strategic planning, governance, risk management, and project controls.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Leadership experience in EPC, EPCM, or major project delivery organizations.
  • Knowledge of Canada’s energy industry, including SAGD, oil sands, brownfield facilities, and major capital projects.
  • Established relationships with operators, contractors, and industry stakeholders in Western Canada.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in Engineering.
  • Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, PE, or equivalent.
