Senior Engineer - Compiler (ML)

Location: Daily onsite presence at the San Jose, California office and U.S. headquarters

Base pay range: $138,000–$206,000 USD annually, plus incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Design and implement ML compilers for high-performance deep learning applications.
• Optimize compiler execution of deep learning models across different hardware platforms.
• Design staged lowering infrastructure for evolving AI/ML workloads.
• Develop data-locality optimization algorithms to reduce energy consumption.
• Collaborate with hardware architects, software developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver ML compiler features.
• Troubleshoot compiler issues, support customers, and contribute to documentation and user guides.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in compiler design and optimization techniques.
• Experience developing and optimizing software for high-performance computing systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an inclusive environment.
• Ability to work onsite daily at the San Jose, California office.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLVM or MLIR.
• Knowledge of current developments in ML compilers and hardware.
