TL;DR
Engineer Technician II (CWW Nights) (Chemical Manufacturing): Operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting purification systems while decontaminating equipment, sampling and filling chemistry, and inspecting finished products with an accent on safety, quality, and timely delivery. Focus on performing process improvements, supporting engineering experiments, maintaining lab operations, and troubleshooting manufacturing systems during a 6 p.m.–6 a.m. night shift.
Location: Austin, Texas; role based at the Burnet site. Onsite night shift, 6 p.m.–6 a.m., on a 3-2-2-3 schedule after training and certification.

What you will do
- Start, monitor, and troubleshoot purification systems under defined quality and engineering controls.
- Decontaminate manufacturing equipment and perform sampling, filling, packaging, and inspection of finished products.
- Pull chemistry samples and submit them to the laboratory for analysis.
- Maintain laboratory operations, including preventive maintenance, supply ordering, cleanup, and waste disposal.
- Support on-time delivery of low-volume products from manufacturing through shipping.
- Work with engineers on experiments, system troubleshooting, preventive-maintenance updates, spare-parts management, and process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical field such as chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, or related manufacturing.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of sublimation, decontamination, valve building, harvesting, filling, and morph solids.
- Previous chemical-handling experience and the ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb and push up to 130 lb, respond quickly to changing situations, and perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to work onsite at the Burnet site on the required overnight schedule after training and certification.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Inventory-management knowledge and SAP experience.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000.
- Training, communication, and technical troubleshooting experience.
