Press Operator 1-3rd Shift

Location: Angola, IN, United States; full-time, 3rd shift

Pay: $21.80 per hour, with possible overtime and other applicable pay differentials.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single- or multi-color offset presses.
• Complete make-ready work, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Inspect plates and cylinders for imperfections and verify image positioning.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet production quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance on the press.
• Perform minor repairs and replace worn or broken parts as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and determine the materials needed for press setup.
• Knowledge of press capabilities, packing pressure, and corrective adjustments for efficient operation.
• Skill using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
• Ability to perform routine operational maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
• Ability to adjust feeder and feed-board systems, including suctions, blast, guides, and head-stop timing.
