Senior ServiceNow Developer (ServiceNow)

Location: Alexandria, Virginia, United States. Work location may change based on client requirements. US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain Agency Suitability clearance.

Salary: $77,000–$125,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, overtime pay, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support, maintain, and enhance highly customized ServiceNow environments and custom applications.
• Assess existing data models, workflows, business logic, integrations, security configurations, dependencies, and customizations.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into maintainable, scalable, secure, and upgradeable ServiceNow solutions.
• Develop and configure custom tables, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer flows, notifications, forms, and related functionality.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve platform performance while reducing technical debt.
• Test, document, and support deployment of changes across development, test, and production environments.

Requirements

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• At least four years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including custom application development and support.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong server-side and client-side ServiceNow development experience using JavaScript.
• Experience with custom tables, relationships, forms, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer, workflows, and integrations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Agency Suitability clearance; US Citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• Experience with App Engine and heavily customized or technically indebted ServiceNow environments.
• Consulting or federal client experience.
• Experience with Python, SQL, PowerShell, data processing, automation, and system integrations.
