2027 2L Summer Associate (Labor & Employment)

Location: Houston, Texas office

Salary: $2,500–$2,600 per week. The posting labels this range for the Baltimore position.

What you will do

• Conduct legal research projects.
• Draft written discovery requests and responses, motions, legal correspondence, and legal updates.
• Observe and participate in strategic planning for depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Participate in witness interviews and client meetings.
• Complete a range of additional assignments supporting employment-related legal matters.

Requirements

• Second-year law student participating in the 2027 summer associate program.
• Class standing in the top third.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Leadership, commitment, and time-management experience demonstrated through extracurricular activities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in management-side labor and employment law after graduation.
