Proposals Engineer - Protection and Automation (Power Systems): Developing technical and commercial proposals for power system automation and protection projects with an accent on utility specifications, SEL equipment, and complex proposal preparation. Focus on designing, configuring, validating, installing, and commissioning protection and automation systems, while leading customer training and delivering work within agreed timelines, budgets, quality, and safety requirements.

Location: San Luis Potosi or Torreon, Mexico

What you will do

  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for automation and protection projects and related SEL products.
  • Lead customer training and support for the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and protection systems.
  • Coordinate work allocation, execution, and implementation within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Assist with identifying, preparing, and presenting proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems.
  • Mentor and develop professional staff and provide supervision when required.
  • Apply SEL values, operating principles, and world-class manufacturing principles while maintaining quality and safety.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience preparing proposals, quotations, or bidding documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, automation, and protection.
  • Experience with CFE, EPC, and electrical utility specifications.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Ability to work in San Luis Potosi or Torreon, Mexico.
