Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology

Location: Boston, MA and community sites

Salary: $517,000–$585,000 annually, plus a leadership stipend.

What you will do

• Partner with the Department Chair on strategic, clinical, academic, and operational leadership.
• Oversee clinical operations and maintain high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care across four sites.
• Lead program development, service-line expansion, business development, and system-wide radiation oncology growth.
• Develop a coordinated radiation oncology model that leverages personnel and expertise across academic medical center and community settings.
• Support faculty recruitment, retention, mentorship, performance management, education, and research productivity.
• Lead quality assurance, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, budget planning, and institutional representation.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Radiation Oncology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor, or eligibility for that rank.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, such as serving as a medical director or program director.
• Strong record of clinical excellence, education, and/or research.
• Experience managing teams and complex healthcare operations.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-site or network-based oncology programs.
• Success in clinical program growth or innovation.
• Advanced training in leadership, administration, or business.
