Sr. Field Survey Tech - Remote (USA)

Location: Remote within the USA; Houston, Texas is listed, with candidates also considered from Tampa, Orlando, Dallas–Fort Worth, Atlanta, Nashville, and other US markets. More than 75% travel is required.

Salary: $26.88–$35.82 hourly.

What you will do

• Collect and deliver accurate field notes for survey drafting and licensed surveyor review.
• Adjust and operate robotic total stations, GPS receivers, and other surveying instruments.
• Compile sketches and notes, import and export data from data collectors, and upload survey data for review.
• Serve as the primary on-site client contact and coordinate field visits.
• Schedule field visits, routes, equipment, vehicles, and job information with the licensed surveyor.
• Travel extensively to conduct field surveys and resolve on-site issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required knowledge of GPS and robotic surveying systems.
• Experience with Leica, Trimble, Topcon, or similar equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to research survey-related documents through public records and the internet.
• Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
