Construction Support Engineer

Location: Plainfield, Illinois, United States; travel to project sites is required.

What you will do

• Perform and review designs and erection drawings for hirify.global Storage Solutions projects.
• Develop constructability plans for standard and complex storage structures.
• Prepare lifting and rigging analyses, calculations, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Design lifting attachments, lifting devices, temporary supports, access equipment, and fall-protection systems.
• Determine ground bearing pressures, design matting, and interpret geotechnical investigation reports.
• Collaborate with drafters, modelers, detailers, sales, estimating, engineering, operations, and project management, including support at project sites.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• BS in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school is preferred.
• EIT certification or progress toward obtaining an EIT is preferred, followed by a professional engineering license.
• Knowledge of lifting devices and temporary structures designed to AISC, OSHA, and ASME B30 requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
• Experience with storage tanks or pressure vessel design and a professional engineering license in at least one state are desired.
