Senior Software Engineer

Location: New York City, NY, United States. On-site position.

Salary: $175,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build the next generation of the Financial Sync ERP platform, enabling vendors to create integrations within the platform.
• Develop features that help customers manage increasingly complex financial flows.
• Improve the usage-to-billing pipeline by ingesting raw usage events, aggregating data, and generating dynamic pricing.
• Work across the full stack, including in-app workflow builders, backend services, and event-ingestion infrastructure.
• Own systems end-to-end, from design through production operations and edge-case resolution.
• Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar, and help shape the engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with TypeScript or a similar programming language and willingness to work across the stack.
• Understanding of best practices for querying relational databases.
• Ability to design maintainable systems, reason about architecture, and work through production issues.
• Strong collaboration skills, including explaining tradeoffs, disagreeing respectfully, and adapting to new information.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-volume data ingestion.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Node, NestJS, React, Next, Java, Kafka, Postgres, Redis, or ClickHouse.
• Interest in accounting and financial systems.
