Data Engineer - Commercial Modeling (AI): Developing technology solutions and commercial data capabilities for critical business problems with an accent on SQL, Python, data management, cloud platforms, and AI. Focus on translating business needs into technical designs, leading project workstreams, guiding data lake and master data management deliverables, and mentoring team members.
Location: Durham, North Carolina, United States; hybrid work combining home-based work with on-site presence at offices or client sites. Travel to other offices and client locations is required as needed.

What you will do
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to design and implement technology solutions for critical business problems.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and work with architects to validate implementation approaches.
- Lead project modules and workstreams while participating in hands-on implementation.
- Guide deliverables including business cases, solution designs, requirements, prototypes, architectures, test cases, deployment plans, and operations strategies.
- Support project planning, staffing, risk mitigation, and end-to-end delivery.
- Manage, mentor, and coach team members while planning and distributing tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, with strong academic performance.
- 3+ years of professional experience delivering small- or medium-scale technology solutions.
- Experience with SQL, Python, data management, data engineering, AI, CRM, commercial data lakes, master data management, AWS, and Databricks.
- Experience with big data concepts, data analytics, cloud platforms, product management, and governance.
- Ability to lead project teams, drive end-to-end activities, meet milestones, and provide mentorship.
- Fluency in English and availability for hybrid work and required client travel.
