What you will do

• Investigate the downstream impact and root causes of Skills and Job Architecture data quality issues across Workday, payroll, reporting, integrations, and AI/ML inputs.
• Use Python and SQL to profile data across Workday and Snowflake, create reusable diagnostic toolkits, and support data mapping and standardization initiatives.
• Design automated data quality pipelines, validation frameworks, observability practices, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms.
• Develop Python-based remediation scripts and execute data corrections through EIB, manual loads, and automated workflows.
• Partner with Global Process Owners and Workday Technology teams on process redesign, configuration changes, and governance improvements.
• Contribute to AI-Ready Data KPI scoring, data quality rule coverage, metadata cataloging, and access classification.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data quality, data governance, or a related analytical or technical role.
• Hands-on experience building Python data pipelines, validation frameworks, and automation scripts.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake, large-scale HR datasets, and ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Experience with data remediation, mass data loads, EIB or equivalent tools, and data quality platforms such as Informatica CDGC, Collibra, or Ataccama.
• Understanding of HR data domains, including employee records, organizational structures, skills, compensation, payroll inputs, and workforce reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences organizations.
• Workday HCM, Workday Skills Cloud, or Career Hub experience.
• Exposure to MLOps or AI/ML data pipeline engineering.
• Data governance, data quality management, or HR analytics certification.
• Knowledge of GDPR and HR data privacy requirements.
