Autonomous Systems Electrical Engineer (Robotics): Developing and deploying electrical systems for autonomous commercial, off-road, and military vehicles with an accent on vehicle integration, hardware selection, and system-level design. Focus on integrating LIDAR, radar, cameras, communication buses, and computing systems while designing for safety, manufacturing, and rigorous testing.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA, US; onsite. Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Develop requirements and identify integration strategies for autonomous vehicle programs.
- Select electrical hardware and perform system-level design for commercial, off-road, and military vehicles.
- Integrate LIDAR, radar, cameras, wheel encoders, computing systems, and other autonomy hardware.
- Work with technicians and software engineers to test and deploy autonomous vehicles.
- Create designs and documentation across prototypes, technology demonstrators, and volume manufacturing programs.
- Collaborate with technical program managers and mechanical, systems, and software engineering specialists.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of professional experience and working knowledge of implementing autonomy on vehicles.
- Experience with vehicle communication buses, including CAN Bus and Ethernet.
- Ability to capture complex systems in CAD and produce requirements, test specifications, technical memos, and hardware design specifications.
- Strong focus on robust, safe designs, engineering analysis, and testing.
- Ability to work independently, communicate issues clearly, and collaborate with supply-chain partners and vendors.

- Experience working in cross-disciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer-site testing and installation.
