TL;DR
Senior Sensitive Activities Budget Analyst (SAP) (Government Budgeting/SAP): Managing budget execution, financial oversight, and fiscal reporting for highly classified Department of War and intelligence programs with an accent on compliance, reconciliation, and multi-level security requirements. Focus on analyzing funding and expenditure data, supporting PPBE cycles, resolving execution issues, and advising government stakeholders.

Location: Onsite five days per week in the Washington, DC area. Travel of up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $103,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary financial liaison for sensitive programs and assigned portfolios.
  • Support budget execution, monitor fiscal performance, and resolve financial issues.
  • Manage program security levels and comply with applicable security classification guides.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and consolidate budget data and program review products for PPBE cycles.
  • Extract, analyze, reconcile, and summarize financial data from accounting records and automated systems.
  • Process reimbursable documents, support fund distribution requests, and provide execution updates to government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience with Department of War and/or Intelligence Community budgets.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of budget-related laws, regulations, policies, and methods.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work with military and civilian personnel, industry partners, and multiple stakeholders with minimal supervision.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.
