Mortgage Loan Originator

Location: San Diego, CA; lending activity across the United States

Salary: $60,000–$125,000 per year; base pay of $17.75 per hour plus uncapped commission.

What you will do

• Originate high-quality residential mortgages across the United States.
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to assess preliminary loan eligibility.
• Recommend mortgage products aligned with customers’ budgets and homeownership goals.
• Consult with customers about current and future financial needs while providing high-quality service.
• Manage inbound and semi-exclusive leads, meet lead-to-fund conversion requirements, and build real estate agent partnerships.
• Stay informed about loan types and related financial products to construct suitable lending solutions.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales or retail lending experience preferred.
• Sales-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
• Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
• Ability to adapt, learn, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
• Successful completion of credit, criminal background, and pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana screening, is required.
