Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect Procurement): Executing strategic sourcing projects and category strategies across HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Professional Services with an accent on total value optimization, supplier negotiations, and responsible sourcing. Focus on managing end-to-end RFx events, modeling total cost and value, developing contracts, and influencing complex cross-functional buying decisions.
Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid work combines working from home with on-site presence at clients or offices; travel is required for client-facing work.

What you will do
- Develop category profiles, sourcing pipelines, and strategies for indirect spend categories including HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Professional Services.
- Execute end-to-end sourcing events, including requirements definition, RFI/RFP/RFQ management, supplier identification, bid analysis, and recommendations.
- Lead supplier negotiations, MSA/SOW development, renewals, and contract management while securing commercial terms, service levels, and risk protections.
- Apply total cost and total value modeling, spend analysis, market intelligence, rate analysis, and benchmarking to sourcing decisions.
- Lead cross-functional sourcing teams and partner with budget owners, senior stakeholders, and corporate functions across regions and business units.
- Drive responsible sourcing, sustainability, change management, policy compliance, and reporting of measurable category value.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 7–9+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience across indirect categories.
- Experience with strategic sourcing processes and technology, including Source-to-Pay and contract lifecycle management tools.
- Knowledge of RFx management, supplier negotiations, contract writing, category strategy, total value modeling, supplier management, and contract management.
- Strong communication, stakeholder influence, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills in a global, decentralized, matrixed organization.
- Fluency in English and authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship are required.

- CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent certification.
