Technical Sales Engineer (Surface Treatment)

Location: Lebanon, Indiana, United States; onsite role

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Communicate solutions based on DLC coatings, PVD coatings, ion plasma nitriding, and other surface treatment processes.
• Review and respond to customer RFQs and technical inquiries.
• Design custom part drawings and specialized fixtures using 3D modeling software.
• Partner with engineering teams on application and new product development projects.
• Coordinate technical contract reviews and the implementation of new customer accounts into production.
• Represent the company at trade shows, support business development inquiries, and prepare operational reports and forecasts.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional industrial or manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of materials science, surface treatments, characterization methods, heat treatment, nitriding, thermal diffusion, and carburizing.
• Ability to read, interpret, and generate blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and analytical reports.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to travel up to 20% for client visits and trade shows.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
• Materials Engineering degree specialization.
