Chinese / English Interpreter/Translator (Mining)

Location: Site-based role in Kalgoorlie, Australia; 8 days on and 6 days off FIFO roster.

What you will do

• Provide accurate verbal and written translation between Mandarin and English.
• Facilitate communication between Mandarin-speaking AHS Support Technicians and English-speaking site personnel.
• Translate technical, operational, maintenance, and safety information.
• Support operational meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and technical discussions.
• Assist communication between internal teams, contractors, and customer representatives.
• Support administrative tasks and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in mining, construction, heavy industry, or a similar operational environment.
• Experience with FIFO rosters or shift-based work arrangements.
• Fluent verbal and written Mandarin and English, with accurate technical and operational translation skills.
• Experience supporting multicultural teams and working with technical, maintenance, operational, or safety terminology.
• Current Western Australian Driver's Licence.
