Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Location: Normal, United States; onsite at the primary plant

Pay rate: $30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install and modify electrical conduit, wiring, switches, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and transformers.
• Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment using voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
• Troubleshoot PLCs through a computer terminal and diagnose faulty equipment.
• Repair and maintain pumps, fans, valves, motors, electrical and electronic relays, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform skilled work including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
• Prepare accurate preventive maintenance records and participate in plant and department meetings and training.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level proficiency across several maintenance trades.
• Ability to work independently when determining maintenance methods and procedures.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, sketches, and diagrams.
• Willingness to follow company safety rules and job rotations.
• Willingness to report unsafe conditions and participate in safety audits, committees, observations, and related initiatives.
