Process Technician (Biotechnology)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA; on-site role

Starting pay: $27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently for enzyme manufacturing operations.
• Perform warehousing, bulk material unloading, inventory movement, and product packaging activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and process parameters to meet production, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Use the Delta V process control system to monitor, control, and adjust production operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues in collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.
• Complete inspections, equipment checks, production documentation, and continuous improvement activities while following safety, environmental, quality, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or mechanical plant environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret procedures, maintain production records, follow detailed instructions, and use Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and complete physical tasks in a manufacturing environment; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or related field.
• Experience with Delta V or similar automated process-control systems.
• Background in industrial manufacturing, biotechnology, fermentation, food processing, or chemical production.
• Experience identifying process improvements and increasing operational efficiency.
