Quality Technician

Location: Lansing, MI; onsite at Bridgewater Interiors IV. Must be able to work the 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Quality operations are performed at the Bridgewater Interiors IV primary location for hirify.global.

What you will do

• Inspect raw materials, work-in-process goods, and finished goods against customer testing standards.
• Perform physical property testing in the corporate polyurethane quality laboratory.
• Maintain accurate test data, testing matrices, sample inventories, and test fixtures.
• Monitor temperature and humidity controls and maintain 5S and housekeeping standards in the laboratory.
• Participate in ISO 16949 and A2LA ISO 17025 audits, proficiency testing, Gage R&R studies, equipment verification, and quality planning meetings.
• Identify quality issues, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and communicate updates to team members and supervisors.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand customer standardized test method documents.
• Ability to complete work orders in a timely manner as a self-starter.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety, EH&S, company, and departmental policies.
• Availability for the 3rd shift: 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Ability to communicate issues, concerns, and updates with team members and supervision.
