Senior Solutions Engineer (Telecommunications)

What you will do

• Advise customers throughout the sales cycle, from discovery through contract close, and resolve technical objections.
• Analyze customer requirements and design tailored telecommunications solutions balancing capabilities, resiliency, and cost.
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex, iterative solution designs and validate feasibility with operations and product teams.
• Document and diagram technical solutions and deliver customer-facing sales presentations.
• Educate customers and sales colleagues on technology trends, products, and industry developments.
• Mentor peers and serve as a subject matter expert in selected technologies and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent business or military experience.
• At least five years of technical sales engineering or technical support experience in telecommunications.
• Industry certifications in two or more specialized technologies.
• Expert-level networking knowledge covering optical networking, routing, switching, software-defined networks, and network security.
• Experience designing for business continuity, disaster recovery, and varied resiliency requirements.
• Knowledge of application and data architectures, public, private, and hybrid clouds, edge performance, and security; ability to create technical diagrams and communicate with technical and business audiences.
