Part-Time, EMT

Location: Busch Gardens Williamsburg, United States; onsite work throughout the park

What you will do

• Provide emergency medical care to employees and park guests, including responding to medical emergencies throughout the park.
• Assess injuries and illnesses, administer appropriate treatment, and complete required paperwork.
• Provide care for workers' compensation cases and teach safety and prevention practices.
• Perform daily checks of safety and rescue equipment and report park hazards.
• Participate in department training and drills while maintaining a positive, energetic guest-service attitude.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR health care provider card and relevant local or state EMT or Paramedic certification required.
• At least six months of related BLS patient-care experience, including volunteer work.
• Ability to assess patient needs, make sound decisions, communicate effectively, and calculate medical doses and measurements.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and more than 100 pounds occasionally, and work indoors and outdoors in sunny, wet, or humid conditions.
