Assistant/Associate Tenure-Track Professor and Coordinator, Allied Health Concentration within the BS Exercise Sport Physiology

Location: Main campus in Stephenville, Texas; onsite faculty position. May include teaching at other Tarleton campuses or through approved instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver undergraduate lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses.
• Develop syllabi, instructional materials, assessments, and curriculum improvements.
• Assess student learning, provide academic support, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Maintain an active research, scholarship, or creative activity agenda and contribute original work through publications, presentations, or exhibitions.
• Coordinate and grow the Allied Health concentration in collaboration with department, college, and university leadership.
• Participate in institutional service, committees, recruitment, faculty mentoring, and university operations.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline from an accredited university.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills required.
• Knowledge of undergraduate education and the ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.
• Ability to manage databases and present information to small and large groups.
• Employment is subject to a criminal history investigation and verification of credentials.

Nice to have

• Administrative or academic leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing academic programs.
• Faculty, supervisory, or management experience in higher education.
• Experience with CASCE accreditation.

• Tenure-track appointment lasting 10.5 months.
• Work schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, or as teaching and operational requirements indicate.

Hiring process
